About the session
Tech Harbour is an Agmo session where teams share insights with their colleagues. For this edition, the QA team took the stage with a talk titled "Beyond the Happy Path: Testing Real-World User Journeys", presented by Arini and Faez Hakim.
The session ran from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM in the auditorium on Level 43A, and Agmoians were invited to join the team for the hour.
Why testing beyond the happy path matters
The title points to a familiar idea in software quality. The happy path is the ideal route through a product, where every input is valid and every step goes to plan. Real users rarely behave that neatly: they make unexpected choices, switch devices, lose connection and leave tasks half finished.
Testing real-world user journeys means following people through a whole experience, across several steps and systems, rather than checking each feature in isolation. It is a way of finding problems before customers do.
Learning, shared across teams
Sessions like this give engineers, testers and other colleagues the chance to hear how another team works, ask questions and take ideas back to their own projects. It is one way Agmo makes room for people to keep growing their craft alongside the work they do every day.
