I have been driving BEV for the past 1 year and here are the list of apps that I would recommend you to download before starting your long distance trip to avoid range anxiety! There are 3 types of important apps for you: EV stations locator, route planner and Charge Point Operators (CPO) payment apps.
- Agmo EV
Agmo EV is the only SuperApp in Malaysia designed for Malaysia EV users. It comes with comprehensive functions, such as:
- Station locators (nearby and search by locations)
- Route planner
- In-app messaging system by vehicle plate number to preserve privacy (for instance: when someone hogging)
- Apple Car Play and Android Auto support
- To make payment with selected CPOs (coming soon)

- Plugshare
Plugshare allows you to locate EV charging stations nearby or in specific locations. However, it doesn’t come with the functions to filter by CPO brand or charging methods (kwh/time) compared with Agmo EV.

- ABRP
ABRP allows you to plan your trip from point A to point B based on your vehicle’s battery capacity and state of charge (SOC). However, it supports mostly DC chargers only with a relatively lesser charger database in Malaysia compared with Agmo EV.
